The end of third grade means it's time for the famous MPE Wax Museum. Savanna did me the great favor of choosing to represent Clara Barton, like Julia had done two short years ago. Which means we already had the costume; we just had to pull it out of the dress-up bin and dust it off.
Thanks, Vanna. You are a lifesaver. But who told you that you could be old enough to be at the end of your third grade year? Certainly not me.
Savanna rocked her speech, as per usual, and even had it memorized by the time she got done repeating it a hundred times.
My own personal victory involved attending the Wax Museum with a three-year-old and 18-month-old in tow and not even having a total breakdown.
I can't say the same for Spencer, who had classic threenage tantrum when it was time to leave the school because he wanted to stay and play. While I coaxed him into his car seat and felt like crying myself, a sweet friend of mine came over and wrestled the stroller into the back of the car for me.
I'll go ahead and call that one a success.
Kaden was on-point. All he needs is a blanket and a drink and he is as happy as can be.
(If only all of their needs revolved solely around those things.)
A success INDEED. Take some credit for that one, girl. You are the mommy of the year for getting out of bed every morning, let alone surviving outings. And helping with homework, and supporting your kiddos, and digging out costumes, and keeping them fed. Mommy. Of the. Freaking. Year.
