Lex and Lincoln's Birthday Bash

Born just one day apart from one another, these two little cousins are destined for a lifetime of celebrating their birthdays together...the hope is that they grow up to be best friends in the process. We kicked off the big 0-1 on President's Day weekend at Laura and Amy's house, and boy did we have a blast.

In addition to a delicious assortment of kid foods for lunch, (hot dogs, goldfish crackers, apple slices with peanut butter) our wonderful party-planning aunts used their collective genius to think up and put together some games that were to die for.

First, was Pin the Smile on the Lexa:

Next, we played Pin the Curl on the Lincoln:

After that was Hungry-Hungry Lincoln. The kids had to wear a lovely hat of Lincoln hair and catch Whoppers in their mouths as they were rolled down the table. Hil. Arious. This game took some serious concentration and skill, as evidenced below:

We didn't want to miss the chance to showcase the full head of Lincoln hair, even on the Linkster himself:

Next we played Bobbing for Binkies, in honor of Lex's binky habit. The kids rocked this one, and it was definitely a lot harder than it looks.

Presents were next...check out these serious faces!

It didn't take too long for a little excitement to peek through.

Then we blew out the candles on this cute Jungle Cake from our friends, Katie and Mario. (And by "we," I mean the Baby Mamas, of course.)

The kiddos did great for the cake-eating portion of the party, though:

Whew! What a day! We are hoping for Laura and Amy to host the celebration again when the babies turn 2, but they're gonna have to work hard to outdo this year's awesomeness.

  3. Know and love the kids, that is. Not the games. Sorry to leave an ambiguous antecedent.
